Sun Style Tai Chi & Qigong
Sun Style is a gentle form of Tai Chi known for its smooth, flowing movements and upright stance. The practice has health benefits that support the mind, body, and spirit. Sun Style moves at a slow pace, making it great for people of all ages and physical conditions. Founded in principles of Chinese energy healing, Sun Style is an internal practice as much as it is an external practice and can become meditative over time. Along with learning the physical sequence of movements you’ll also have the opportunity to fine tune and strengthen your focus, balance, breath, and posture. ​​​​

Sun Style is also used in a practice known as Falls Prevention and has been shown to help reduce the risk of falling in older adults. The slow and deliberate movements can strengthen cognitive function, improve balance, and increase body awareness that helps participants move through their daily activities outside of the practice.

Qigong translates to "energy work". With "Qi" being life force energy and "gong" meaning to work. When used as a practice to promote health benefits, tai chi is considered a form of Qigong. Qigong is a practice that can be used to clear and optimize energy, as well as support the internal organs. Some movements in Qigong are dance-like in their nature and are designed to help connect you with elements of nature.

Qigong and Tai Chi are also great for children! Kid's classes include playful Qigong exercises where children get to embody fun animal postures while they work on balance, focus, and body awareness.
Classes for 2024

Gabrielle offers both Tai Chi and Qigong classes. Tai Chi classes can blend with Qigong, or be offered as a practice that follows the rhythm of Falls Prevention for aging adults.​

Currently teaching private classes by request.
Sliding scale: $25-$45/hr for private 1:1
$35-$50/hr for private couples
$75-$150/hr for group classes.
​Rates are agreed upon by considering driving time, number of participants, and financial ability.

grounding techniques help clear stagnant energy and revitalize the body allowing each student to shift their perception of the world around them.
